Cress Creeks Sheep Farm and Event Center in Ellijay, GA | Your next North Georgia Farm Excursion

This week on This Is Ellijay, Eli is visiting our friends down at Cress Creeks Sheep Farm and Event Center, a place where peaceful mountain scenery, fresh farm life, and true Southern hospitality come together.

A little ways off Hwy 76, among the sprawling fields we met up with Lee Forbes, the owner of Cress Creeks Farm. Lee introduced us to Keven, the Babydoll sheep, Rita the Rhea, Tom the Turkey  and the rest of their feathered and fuzzy friends. You can visit the farm store and purchase feed to treat the animals during your visit.

Other things you can get at the farm store are pasture raised eggs (with orange yolks, yum!), fresh baked goods, lamb, beef, pork, seasonal produce, black walnuts, raw milk, sheep cheese, their Baa Baa Brew coffee, home decor and gifts.

Planning on an autumn visit? Then their seasonal activities are a must for you and your family. Take a tractor pulled hayride around the farm, get lost in their corn maze, or let the kids take a spin on their barrel train.

The corn maze and autumn events will begin on September 25th and run through November 1st, so you will have plenty of time to plan your family trip during Ellijay’s most special time of year.

Are you looking to plan a romantic getaway instead? Cress Creeks Farm has the perfect date night planned with their Farm to Table dinners. An event where you can relax on the farm, listen to music, and dine on a 6 course meal cooked by a private chef using farm raised ingredients.

Their upcoming Farm to Table event is set for November 7th, 2026, and you can preview their menu and find tickets here. Be sure to book before fall, as tickets are sure to sell out!
