What did Yahya Sinwar and the other leaders of Hamas expect to gain in the long run from the Al-Aqsa Flood in October of 2023?
Most media in the US and UK have overlooked this question over the two and a half years since the flood began. So it’s no surprise that those same media outlets have been blindsided by the US and Israel’s War against Iran and the massive geopolitical quagmire they’ve created as a result, but when we consider what Sinwar and Hamas likely expected to happen, we should see intensified Israeli aggression with massive US support as an obvious byproduct of the Al-Aqsa Flood.
The POINT was to drive the Zionists into an all-timer of a crash-out, destroying all their own support and wrecking the US’ web of delicately balanced alliances on the way down. But in order to understand why this plan has worked, we need to analyze the deteriorating conditions within the US empire that Sinwar expected would rupture when put under pressure.
On the last episode of The Hastening on @NewEllijayTelevision , we talked about Pete Hegseth’s leaked Signal chats and what the attitude about the US’ empire’s “dependents” like Egypt and Europe on display in those conversations tells us about the state of the US empire.
American leaders don’t really understand empire on a fundamental level. They see the support they provide to critical allies as some kind of charity, a thing we should be owed for rather than a thing we do to because it benefits the US empire above all else.
You can watch that episode here.
On this new mini-series from The Hastening called Down In The Flood, we’re gonna expand these thoughts out much further in the context of the US empire’s war with Iran. We’re gonna try to see things the way Sinwar did, analyzing the biggest weaknesses in the American and Zionist coalition, to show how the Flood was designed to drive that coalition towards utter ruin.
@ElrondHubbard-42069 has more of these installments on the way soon. On the next episode, we’ll be covering the modern history of Iran and examining how the US’s fraught relationship with Iran since 1979 is indicative of a society that doesn’t understand that it’s an empire and is totally unable to deal with the repercussions and backlash of its own actions as a result.
So be on the lookout for that in the coming weeks, and subscribe to to stay in the loop.
